A vacancy has arisen for a Parish Councillor and we are looking for enthusiastic and committed residents to join us in representing the views of local people and helping shape the future of our parish.
What does a Parish Councillor do?
Parish Councillors are the voice of the local community and work together to improve services, facilities, and quality of life for all residents. Duties may include:
- Attending and contributing to regular council meetings
- Considering and making decisions on local issues
- Helping to manage parish assets and budgets
- Representing residents’ views
- Working with local organisations and authorities
Who can apply?
You must be:
- Aged 18 or over
- A British citizen, or a qualifying Commonwealth or EU citizen
- Registered as an elector in the parish or have lived, worked, or owned property in the parish (or within 3 miles) for at least the past 12 months
No prior experience is needed — just a willingness to get involved and make a positive impact.
